Bouquets

Marie provided me with a basic web-site to play around with and has kept me on the straight and narrow - any faults are mine. If you need a website that is lean and mean but beautiful to look at, you need to talk to Marie at ArtyIt Web Design.

If you would rather do it yourself but find the thought of it a little daunting, she also offers courses on web building for the terrified.

If all you want is an email address that looks professional but don't need a website yet, then talk to her about custom email addresses.

And if that isn't enough, she is the Photoshop Queen of Sevenoaks and offers Photoshop training. Have a peep at her Photoshop training site and be amazed.

Beneficiaries

Over the years D W Training has been pleased to be associated with various organisations and events.

Wood Green Animal Shelters takes in unwanted and lost animals, provide shelter and care, find secure and loving homes, provide advice, support and guidance for pet owners and increase the public's awareness of its responsibility towards animals in society.

In 2009 we sponsored The World Poohsticks Championships organised by the Rotary Club of Oxford Spires. The event attracts competitors from all over the world (yes, really, there were competitors from Australia) and is a fun way to spend the day while supporting a charity - in this case, the RNLI. The 2010 event has been postponed due to the river misbehaving, but with luck will go ahead after the summer season. Keep an eye on their website for updates.

For the second year we have sponsored a performance by the Mikron Theatre Company This is a proper travelling theatre company - normally spending the summer months touring the canals (and canalside pubs) of England performing their unique brand of musical theatre. If the opportunity arises, go and see them, you won't be disappointed.

The canal theme continues - if you are interested in spending a weekend, or even a week, working to restore Britains waterways, have a look at the Waterway Recovery Group's site.
